Zerovoc InnerSeal Concrete SealerInnerSeal Concrete Sealer creates its crystalline waterproofing effect by becoming an integral part of the concrete mass. It works by taking advantage of the natural and inherent characteristics of concrete; concrete is both porous (capillary tract system) and chemical in nature. By means of diffusion, the chemical components in InnerSeal penetrate deeply, traveling through the pores and capillary tracts in the concrete. This process triggers a chemical reaction between InnerSeal and the natural chemical by-products of cement hydration (calcium hydroxide, mineral salts, mineral oxides and un-hydrated and partially hydrated cement particles).The result is crystallization and, ultimately, insoluble microcrystalline structures that encapsulate interior particles from the surface down while plugging the macro and micro pores and capillary tracts of the concrete. Once the process is complete, the concrete becomes a solid mass and is rendered impenetrable by water and other liquids. The effect is irreversible and the water resistance of the concrete is permanent. |
